Patiently Endure
The word “endure” can bring images of submitting docilely to circumstance. To some, it may even carry the connotation of hopeless surrender. Such is not the case with kingdom endurance. While the word can mean to permit or submissively tolerate, the subjects of God’s kingdom should understand the word to mean suffering patiently without yielding. As the people of God we should never forget that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5). We know God is operating on our behalf and is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28).
