Faith Is In Christ Romans

10:8–9 The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Saving faith is faith in God through the person of Jesus Christ. The focus of saving faith is always toward Jesus personally, not toward Jesus as a mere idea. In other words, the moment our study of God’s Word becomes separated from Jesus Himself, it becomes only an academic pursuit without the power of the Spirit teaching us and glorifying Jesus in us through the Word. However true the Scriptures are, and however wonderful their wisdom is, the life of the Scriptures is linked to Christ. We dare not separate the Word from the Person.
