Supernatural Faith

God’s Revealed Will

When we read Mark 1:40–45, we cannot question whether healing is God’s will.
Some insist that we must always preface our prayer for healing with, “If it is Your will.” How can one have positive faith when one begins a request with an “if”? We do not pray for salvation with an “if.” “If it is Your will” is more often an expression of fear—a proviso to “excuse God of blame” if our faith or His sovereign purposes do not bring healing. If His will is questioned, leave the issue to His sovereignty and remove it from your prayer.
At the same time, one cannot intentionally be living in violation of God’s will and expect His promises will be fulfilled. Where biblical conditions for participation in God’s processes are present, they must be met; but let us not avoid either God’s readiness or God’s remedies by reason of the question of His willingness. Amen  Read Isaiah 58:8; Exodus 23:25; Deuteronomy 7:15; James 5:14, 15.

Supernatural Faith

Healed by His Stripes

Isaiah 53:4-5. dynamic ministry of Jesus not only revealed God’s heart of love for mankind’s need of a Redeemer, but unveiled God’s compassionate heart of mercy for mankind’s need of a Healer. The will of God was perfectly disclosed in His Son; we are to seek ways to fully convey that perfect revelation. Just as the Fall of man introduced sickness as a part of the curse, the Cross of Christ hasopened a door to healing as part of salvation’s provision. Healing encompasses God’s power to restore broken hearts, broken homes, broken lives, and broken bodies. Suffering assumes a multiplicity of forms, but Christ’s blood not only covers our sin with redemptive love; His stripes release a resource of healing at every dimension of our need. Amen
Read Matthew 8:16–17.

Supernatural Faith

God is With You

Where faith is a matter of choice, you can be confident that God’s Spirit is speaking the Word upon which you may base your choice to believe. Again using the story of the storm from Mark 4, let us notice that the disciples had His word (“Let us go over to the other side”), and they also had His presence (He was with them in the boat)—He was with them!
He is also with you! Armed by what He has spoken to you, make good choices—choices to believe. Amen

Stand Strong

“sound mind” in 2 Timothy 1:7. The Greek word conveys the idea of discipline, and self-control. While the word “fear” means timidity and a loss of confidence, “sound mind” refers to the ability to be under control during difficult circumstances, to think straight under pressure.
You can choose to take your thoughts and feelings captive and stand strong, or you can choose to panic, giving in to
doubts and fears. The choice is yours. Amen

The Choice of Faith

Mark 4:35–41
Though He made the storm on the outside cease, He expected them to deal with the storm on the inside. As you read through the Gospel narratives, you will be surprised by how often Jesus will control the elements and control demonic spirits—yet you will hardly ever see Him controlling the disciples. Only He could rebuke the storm on the Sea of Galilee. Only they could rebuke the storm of fear and doubt they were experiencing. Amen

Supernatural Faith

Faith Beyond Ability

Begin this section by reading Acts 3:1–16.
Please note that the healing required a choice by Peter. He chose to extend his hand to the lame man and to pick him up. He chose to speak the healing words in the name of the Lord Jesus.
This faith is not a function of character or personal acquisition. Though obedient choice is certainly involved, Peter made it clear that nothing of personal holiness, self-will, or personal power had accomplished this wonderful miracle (Acts 3:12). Amen
