What Is Authority?

The translators of the King James Version translated many words consistently, but not the Greek words for “power” and “authority.”
In speaking about “serpents and scorpions,” Jesus is talking about the power of the devil—demons, evil spirits, and all his cohorts. We need to realize that we’ve got authority over them!
The value of our authority rests on the power that is behind that authority. God Himself is the power behind our authority! The devil and his forces are obliged to recognize our authority! The believer who thoroughly understands that the power of God is backing him can exercise his authority and face the enemy fearlessly. Amen

Our Authority

“all spiritual blessings” as “every spiritual blessing.” This means every spiritual blessing there is. In Christ, all spiritual blessings belong to us. Authority belongs to us whether we realize it or not. But just knowing this isn’t enough. It’s knowledge acted upon that brings results! It’s a tragedy for Christians to go through life and never find out what belongs to them. Did you ever stop to think about it: Salvation belongs to the sinner. Jesus already has bought the salvation of the worst sinner, just as He did for us. That’s the reason He told us to go tell the Good News; go tell sinners they’re reconciled to God. Amen

What Authority do we have

Thank God we have authority over evil spurits. Ephesians  6:12
We need to realize that we have authority through  Christ Jesus.  Our combat with the devil always should be with the consciousness that we have authority over him because he is a defeated foe.
The authority of a believer is a aspect of the Christian life that few believer’s know much about. We receive this authority when we are born again.  As we we are made new creatures in Christ Jesus,  we inherit the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ,  and we can use it in prayer against the enemy. Amen

The Authority That Was Given to Me

The authority of the believer is unveiled more fully in the Book of Ephesians than any other epistles written to the churches. There are Spirit-anointed prayers at the end of the first and third chapters. These prayers apply for us today just as they were for the believer’s in Ephesus,  because they are given  by the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1 : 16-20, Ephesians 3:14-19
When these prayers are prayed  (we can pray them) we can see things in the Bible we have never seen before. Like it opens up to us. If you pray these Ephesians  prayers you'll see results in your lives. Amen

Believe in the Promise Maker

Genesis  15:6
Then he believed in Adonai and He reconded it to him as righteousness. TLV
This is the foundation of Paul’s teaching on Faith and Grace in the New Testament. In faith Abram believed the Lord. Faith  made possible for the Lord to
"account " him to righteousness.  By His grace and choice of  love, gave to Abrams record full load of promised justification,  just as He  gives  us  through Christ Jesus.
There is a distinction between "the promise" and the "One who has made the Promise. " Amen
Jeremiah 23:6 Galatians 3:5-9

Overcome the World

Genesis 12:10 – 13:18: Abram leaves Canaan for Egypt because of a famine. Even though we believe God and follow His Word and way, we have no guarantee against famines! Our journey of faith. Rejoice in this. Your journey of faith does not require you to be perfect. Amen

Covenant Partners With God

Genesis 17:7 . . . I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. God spoke these words to Abraham. His “descendants . . . in their generations” includes all those who belong to the Lord (Galatians 3:29). We have been “adopted,” (Romans 4:4–7) we have been “grafted” (Romans 11:17) into the family tree of Abraham. The Bible calls Abraham the father of those of us who believe (Romans 4:11). He is the one to whom God made the promise, “You will be the father of many nations” (Genesis 17:4), and when Paul writes to the Galatians, he makes the point that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ has become an offspring of Abraham (Galatians 3:29). As persons of faith, you and I have become members of the household of Abraham (Romans 4:13), so promises spoken to Abraham’s descendants are words that you and I can apply to our own lives of faith (Romans 4:16; Galatians 3:16). Amen
