What about Job

I hear people say, "but, what about Job, God made him sick." The Word does not teach that. Job 1: the devil came to God and asked permission to have Job, it is important to see that God answered, "You have permission to do anything you want to him, except kill him." The reason it so important to see this that is is the root of misunderstanding. God didn't put sickness on Job, He simply gave permission. You might say God set Satan up. Please read Job 3:25 What happened to Job was his own fears. Job's fear brought him into that which happened to him.
If someone is sick they are captive to the devil, Satan will steal from you. Job had everything  stolen from him, he lost everything and became ill. Job was in captivity by the devil, but praise be to God my Lord who is my comforter and provider took Job out of the trap that Job was in and gave him twice what him in return.
The Enemy will attack, "You may be there now" the Word of God  says the Enemy  has attacked  God’s  people.  If you willing to stand by Him trust Him you will walk out victorious. Amen

Should Christians Suffer

If we endure,   We shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us. 2Tim.2:12 NKJV

This Scripture says we sre to suffer (endure) with Jesus and if we suffer (endure) with Him, we can reign with Him.
We need to understand what exactly is the Scripture  talking about suffer. The NKJV uses the word endure, this is our first clue to the meaning suffer. Some will teach that we must suffer for Jesus in this thinking they may refer to sickness, poverty or lack in ord er to reign  with Him on high.

Jesus  did not suffer sickness nor disease, or poverty as some teach. He did suffer (endure ) Persecution.
Many suffer from the hands of persecution from friends, family because  we chose to follow Christ.  This kind of suffering  is what the Scripture  is referring to.

In this ministry that my bride and I have committed to we will preach and teach the truth about salvation  and healing. The Word of God is very simple, man tries to make it so theologically  profound, it is simple because  Jesus said it was simple. Amen

Healing

Is any Among You Sick

James 5:14
James asks the question, "Are there any sick among you?" This makes me believe there should not be any sick in the Church. Maybe it could be said that sickness was not excepted or a common occurrence. This passage tells us what to do if they are sick, "call for the elders of the church,  anoint the sick with oil, and  pray the prayer of faith;  then the Lord will raise them healed and whole.
There is some confusion in the church concerning healing. Hebrews 12:6
This verse does not say,"Whom the Lord loves He makes sick." Some people  try to make this verse say that, or they say, "Whom God loves He punishes." This word "chasten" means "to educate or train " we might use the word "discipline ."
I love my children so I disciplined them growing up. God disciplines us and He trains us. He leads and guides us but He never makes us sick nor does He like an Oger waiting to beat us down.  Amen

Healing

No Exceptions

If we were to believe as some people,  we would say this. God is is author of sickness and disease,  then God and the deceiver must have changed place in the past. The Bible clearly teaches who is the author of sickness and disease.  Mark 16:18
Some folk claim they are sick by God’s design.  That they need a lesson taught to them. If this is so , how can we know who to pray for, who to lay hands on?
There may be exceptions to certain rules in nature, notice in Mark 16:18 the Bible simply says, "Lay hands on the sick."  No Exceptions!

God's Healing Nature

The devil and his ugly offspring-  sin, sickness, doubt, and unbelief.  He is trying to rob us of God’s blessings.  One way he robs us is blaming God for Sickness.
Jehovah-Rapha establishes  a covenant with His people in the Book of Exodus,  please read Exodus  15:23-26. This chapter in our study of healing we find the very nature od God. The Bible teaches that God does not put sickness  on us. Read Acts 10:38 and  John 14:10.
Jesus the Son of God  healed here on earth because He was anointed not because He was deity,  as a human He was anointed  by God  to do His will. Amen

Healing

God is a Good God

When we really study the Word of God and discover who God is and what He does,  we learn  there is no possible way He could be the cause of all the evil that people accuse Him of. That kind of thinking is contrary to what the Word of God says about His nature.  Then who causes all of this world's evil?  The devil does.  John 10:10 say, that the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy.  This verse is talking about the spiritual world.
Understanding  that Adam  committed high treason >n the garden, sold mankind out to the devil, and that this world is under Satan' s control, it is very obvious why evil things are happening in this world.  Amen

Healing

Who is the God of this World

Adam was originally in control of this world in which we live. God gave him dominion to rule over it.  In Genesis we find God created Adam, He told him,"You're in control " Genesis  1:26
In other words,  God  made Adam "god" over this world.
2 Corinthians 4:4 says Satan is the god of this world.  In Genesis  God gave Adam charge over this world,  but in Corinthians Paul says Satan  has taken over. When and where did the dominion change? At the Fall of man in Genesis 3 through the disobedience of God Adam gave his dominion over this world to Satan.
Remember when God  created the earth, He established certain natural laws, such as the law of gravity. From the moment God established these laws , the earth has been under their  control. Satan  through the disobedience of Adam  has control over the earth to those who walk in darkness, but praise  God through shed blood of Jesus God has control over those who trust Him. Amen

Healing

The Curse of the Law

As Christians we have to realize that there is a difference between the curse of the Law and the curse of the Fall.
You see, we have not been physically redeemed from the curse of the Fall,  but, we have been spiritually redeemed from the curse of the Law
Galatians 3:13.
This can cause a great source of confusion among Christians in their thinking,  they simply do not understand Biblical truth.
Genesis 3:16 A woman  having to endure pain in childbirth Genesis 3:16, and man having to work "by the sweat of his brow" Genesis 3:19. This is the effects of the Curse of the Fall.
But sickness,  disease, and poverty  are all effects of the curse of the Law. This is part of the penalty for breaking God’s Law or Commandments.  We can see this in Deuteronmy 28.
The  woman received a cruse, the man received a curse Even the earth was cursed. Romans 8:22 The blood of Christ on the Cross of Calvary paid for our redemption from the curse of the Law,  but we are not redeemed from the curse of the Fall. It is important to understand that the curses were indirectly caused by the devil. Amen

Healing

Who is to blame for Sickness

There are people in this world today who are sick and dying,  it is so incredibly for us as Christians to know exactly where sickness comes from so we can better help people understand and receive healing. Read Acts 10:38

This Scripture says Jesus went around "doing good " & "healing the sick". Notice this verse only identifies  One doing the healing,  but it also identifies the one making people sick. Jesus healed the sick, Satan is the author of sickness. It is difficult for man to understand some things just using natural  thinking.  If an individual was a godly Christian who believed in divine healing,  but for some reason didn't receive healing, some family members could blame God for the sickness or blame God for not giving healing to that family member. This is wrong thinking. God doesn't make people sick for any reason. As we look into this subject of healing and sickness, our goal is to see with a Biblical view of sickness and disease.  As we do this we can see the redemptive plan for the healing that God has for our lives in all aspects,  home, health, and marriages.  Amen

Healing

The reason I have spent so much time on the subject of healing,  is that is what I seem to deal with constantly on a day to day basis.  I hear of people who are sick in their body with disease or illnesses, or sick in pain in their bodies  and know not what is wrong. It seems some times even the doctors can not tell what is wrong you may get an answer like this, "we don't know"
God’s  healing plan was put together long before we come along, the  healing plan is the redemptive plan. God set forth His redemptive plan "salvation or the Gospel "by the giving of His very best Himself  in the form of Jesus. Jesus' obedience to the Father brought the redemptive into fullness and "healing of sickness and disease " is a part of that process. As we look at healing look at what Christ done for us in this process.  Amen

Christ’s Present Attitude

We have revelation from many angles of Christ’s  merciful attitude  toward sickness and disease since His exaltation at the right hand of the Father. Christ’s attitude is fully revealed by His redemptive name Jehovah-Rapha. His attitude is again revealed by His definite promise to continue and augment His healing ministry. His  attitude  that healing is a part of the  Gospel of the Great Commission. His attitude is revealed by the fact that it is since His exaltation that He established "set" in the Church teachers, miracles,  gifts of healing,  etc. This was for continuance  of the "same works " And "greater works " which He would continue from God’s right hand. Amen

The Acts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit, whom Christ sent as His Successor and Executive,  took possession of the Church, which is the body of Christ. He showed the same healing power after Pentecost that Christ had displayed before, and  vast multitudes were healed.  As in the Gospels,  so in the Acts, we never red of anyone asking for healing and being denied.  Acts records the acts of the Holy Spirit through others as well the apostles.  Phillip  and Stephen,  who were not apostles,  we're gloriously used as Peter and John. The Holy Spirit came to execute for us all purchased by Christ's redemption  and p,ledge by the seven redemptive  names.  The book of Acts  shows us how He wants to act throughout "all the days, even unto the end of the age." The Wisdom of the Early Church

The early Church  took Christ at His Word and  prayed united lyrics for signs and  wonders of healing,  until "the place was shaken where they were assembled together." Then, "they brought forth the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and couches.....There came also a multitude out of the cites round about Jerusalem,  bringing sick folks, and  they which were vexed with unclean spirits, and they were healed every one."  "All that Jesus began to do and  teach" He was here continuing from the right hand of God through "His Body, the Church, " according to His promise. Compassionate  Love  Jesus' Ruling Motive

Many in our day,  have been taught that Christ performed miracles of healing just to show His power and to prove His deity. But scriptures show that He healed because of His compassion and to fulfill  prophecy.  In Matthew 12:15-16, we read, "Great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all; and  charged them that they should not make Him known." He only "began to and teach" this is a key to us we are to continue. Jesus  said, "It is expedient  (profitable )for you that I go away." Our job is to continue what Christ  started.  Amen

Christ, the Expression of God’s Will

There is no better way of ascertaining the proper answer to the question before us than by reading the Gospels since they record the  teachings and the works of Christ.  He was (in the flesh ) the expression of Father's will. His life was both a revelation and a  manifestation of the unchanging love and  will of God.  He literally acted out the will of God for Adam's race. (The fall of mankind, was the cause of sin, sickness and disease, the curse and all of creation animals  included now suffer from the curse of Adam.) When He (Jesus) healed the multitudes who thronged Him, day after day,  we see the Father revealing His will.  Amen

Who is Authorized to Change God’s will

To say that this privilege of health is not for God’s people today is to change God’s "I AM" to "I WAS" Jehovah-Rapha. Who has the authority to change God’s  redemptive  names? He I'd "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever,"

Have a blessed  and prosperous  weekend.  We are going to be in Wichita Falls, Tx. at Red River Speedway Friday and Saturday night, then back to Weatherford, Tx. at Silverado Cowboy Church for Sunday Services. Do keep us in prayer as we impact the lives of all we meet along the way with the  good news of Jesus Christ and His redemptive  Love. Amen

Read the Will and Know

The  word  Testament,  legally speaking, means a person's will. The  Bible contains God’s last will and Testament,  in which He bequeath to us all the blessings of redemption.   Healing is in God’s will for the us, then to say that the age of miracles is past is virtually saying what is opposite of truth,  that a will is no good after the death of the testator: Jesus is not only the testator, who died; He was
resurrected and is also the Mediator of the will.
Let us look away from modern tradition and go to the Word of God, which is a revelation of His will. Amen

A Corrected Theology

Among all those who sought healing from Christ during His ministry,  we read only one who had this kind of theology.  This was the  leper,  who said, "Lord, if Thou wilt, Thou canst make me  clean." The  first thing Christ did was to correct his theology by saying, "I will,  be thou clean." Christ's "I will" cancelled his "if." This added to his faith that Christ could  heal him, the fact that He would.
The  theology of this leper,  before Christ enlightened him, is almost universal today,  because this part of the gospel is so seldom and so fragmentartily preached. Amen

Christ the Healer

Is Healing for All?

The greatest barrier to the faith of many seeking bodily healing in our day is the  uncertainty in their minds as to it being the will of God to heal all. Nearly everyone knows that God does heal some, but there is much in  modern  theology that keeps people from knowing what the Bible clearly teaches, that healing is provided for all. It is impossible to bodily claim,  by faith, a blessing that we are not sure God offers. The power of God can be claimed only where the will of God is known.
Faith begins where God’s will is known.  If it is God's will to heal only some of those who need healing,  then none have a basis for faith  unless they have a special revelation that they are among the favored. Appropriating faith is not believing that God can heal you, but that God will  heal you. Amen

The  Cross is a Perfect Remedy for the Whole Man

Jesus went to the cross,  spirit, soul and body,  to redeem man, spirit, soul and body.  Therefore, the cross is the center of the plan of salvation for  man, spirit, soul and body.
Every form of sickness and  disease known to man was included,  and many of them even mentioned particularly,  in the  "curse of the law" Deuteronmy  28:15-62, and other Scriptures.  In Galatians 3:13, we have the positive statement that "Christ hath redeemed us from the  curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for is is written, Cursed is the one that hangth on a tree." Amen

An Objection  Answered

If Christ is as some think,  is unwilling to heal as universally during His exaltation as He did during His humiliation,  then He would have to break His promise in John 14:12-13. He not be "Jesus Christ,  the same yesterday, today and forever."
The fact of healing in the Atonement necessitates the continuation of His healing ministry during His exaltation. His redeeming work embraces all who live on earth while He is with the Father.  Accordingly,  He gives the above promise to do the same, and greater works,  in answer to our prayers from God’s right hand.  Amen

He carried our pains

Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. Isaiah 53 : 4 NKJV

Isaiah 53 : 4-5  are used alot in churches, most along the line of healing and faith. In this verse there two words  I want to point out  (griefs & sorrows), these words I'm  sorry to say have been wrongly translated.
These two words mean, respectively,  "sickness" and  "pain." Throughout the Bible in the Old Testament  this word "choli" means disease and sickness Strongs #2483 and "makob" is rendered pain Strongs #4341.

Therefore the prophet is saying,  in this forth verse, "Surely He hath borne our sickness, and carried our pains." Please  read Matthew  8 : 16 – 17
It plainly declares that the prophet refers to bodily ailments not spiritual matters. Amen
